Itinerary for Alhaurin (23rd - 30th May 2010)
Arrivals: You will be notified about arrangements for airport transfers. If necessary, bags may be left in the hotel until check-in time (approx. 2.00pm) although the rooms are usually ready when we arrive and you are allowed to use them immediately
Departures: Rooms must be vacated by 10.00 a.m. on Sunday 31 May. You will be notified about arrangements for airport transfers.
Breakfast: We have arranged for breakfast to be taken at la Peñita, in the bar at the dance course venue. You will each be given a sheet of breakfast vouchers. Please tear off the correct voucher for the day and hand it to bar staff when you place your order. You will be charged personally for any additional items you order. The voucher may only be used for breakfast and may not be used in part payment for other meals during the day.
Sunday 23rd May: 3.00(ish): "Get to know each other" drinks at la Peñita. We can answer your
last-minute questions and give you any further information you might need.
Dance Classes at la Peñita:
Monday 24th - Friday 28th May
10.00 - 12.00 am: General Class
12.30 - 2.00 pm: Intermediate/Advanced
Within these timings there is some flexibility if students would like longer or shorter breaks.
Guitarists are welcome to sit in the General Classes. Would any
interested guitarists please make yourselves known to the dance teacher, particularly if you wish to try out any dance accompaniment.
Guitar Classes at Peña Flamenca Alhaurina:
Monday 24th - Friday 28th May
12 noon - 2.00 pm :
Meet Cherry at la Peñita on Monday, 11.45. She will take you to the Peña and introduce you to Gabriel.
Organised Events:
Wednesday and Thursday Evening: We will perform at the Peña Flamenco Hargahijo on one of these evenings, maybe both. At this time we are unable to give precise timings, but it will be LATE.
Friday evening: Performance at the Caseta of the Peña Flamenca Alhaurina, Feria Ground. Another LATE night.
Local bus services:
If you find time, you might like to go to Malaga, Fuengirola or Mijas (Flamenco shop, sights etc.). There are frequent bus services and we will give everyone timetables.
